Karein Williams is currently an artist in training in Sydney, Australia, and can remember having a love of drawing and stories all of her life. From when she was little she was always infactuated with animated movies, particularly Disney, growing up with classics such as Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin being released when she was in primary school. They had a huge impact on her childhood, and she was often off in another land doodling away in her bedroom.
She recently finished her Diploma of Fine Arts at Nepean Institute of TAFE and is currently studying her Bachelor of Art Education at the University of New South Wales College of Fine Arts (COFA). Her favorite mediums are always traditional, oils, pencil, inks and watercolour, and she also has a growing obsession with art books.
Her influences vary, with Disney to Otto Dix, Leonardo Da Vinci to John Howe and Alan Lee. She has a very broad mind when it comes to art, but traditional work will always be her first love.
